William is a cousin of Patrick Foody, Mary is possibly his wife or sister.  There is a William and Mary (born about 1860 and 1862) McHale listed in 1901 as living in Ballyhiernaun with their children, John 16, Ellen 14, Pat 5, Maggie 3, Edward 2 and Bryan Commons 70, Mary’s father.

He is possibly a brother of Bridget Connor, there is a Mary Connor listed as living in Ballynahaglish in 1901.  Born about 1838, widowed.  Don’t know if the Connors were somehow related to the Foodys or McHales.
